PETR KRPALEK
U18 + LAS Assistant Coach
Petr was born and raised in the Czech Republic, where he played hockey throughout the entire structure of the Czech system, culminating in men’s hockey. After graduating high school, he moved to Prague to pursue his coaching and teaching career while studying Physical Education and Sports Science at Charles University.
During his Master’s degree program, he relocated to Montreal, where he lived for five years and worked in youth hockey development. Following this Canadian experience, Petr traveled to Central Asia, where he spent a winter assisting local hockey communities with their growth and development. After his adventure in Central Asia, Petr returned to Europe and began working with the youth program at Okanagan Hockey Europe in Vienna. After three years, he joined the academy in Sankt Pölten, where he currently works for Okanagan Academy and the youth program of Lower Austria Stars.
Petr holds an "A" coaching license awarded by the Czech Hockey Association, has a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science, and also teaches at a local school in Austria in addition to his work in hockey.
